RESOLVED, that the Episcopal Urban Caucus urge our elected congresspersons and senators to initiate or support legislation raising the federal minimum wage to at least $8.70 an hour, this figure being the hourly equivalent of an annual wage at the current federal poverty line, $18,100 for a family of four persons, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Episcopal Urban Caucus continue to support living wage campaigns in the cities and counties of their dioceses, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Episcopal Urban Caucus strongly affirm the right of workers to organize as protected by federal and state law, especially in low wage industries and businesses, including the institutions of our several dioceses.
