PREJUDICE AGAINST LATINO/AS

RESOLVED, That the  Episcopal Urban Caucus, at its meeting in February 2014 calls on the Church to examine its prejudices about Latino/as including Latin American Indigenous peoples and to come up with new ways to address those prejudices in order to facilitate additional ministries among those of Latino/as and indigenous heritages.

 

STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS

RESOLVED, That the 34th Assembly of the Episcopal Urban Caucus meeting in New York from February 19 – February 22, 2014, calls upon dioceses and other judicatories to support efforts that urge the elimination of “Stand Your Ground: laws.

 

                        And be it further,

 

RESOLVED, That the Episcopal Church encourage corporations which have supported “Stand Your Ground” laws to publicly withdraw that support.

 

                        And be it further,

 

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Presiding Bishop, the President of the House of Deputies, and the Office of Government Relations of the Episcopal Church.
